VICIVISION UK has returned from MACH 2026 at the NEC Birmingham having delivered its strongest show performance to date, with a UK-first configuration of the 918 Techno System drawing significant attention from turned part manufacturers and setting a new benchmark for enquiry volumes at the exhibition.
Addressing a Persistent Challenge in Turned Part Inspection
Stand 20-320 at MACH 2026 was built around a clear principle: every solution on display had to answer a challenge that manufacturers are facing today.
For VICIVISION UK, that challenge centres on a familiar tension in turned part inspection: the trade-off between speed and precision. High-volume manufacturers need throughput. Complex components demand accuracy. Until now, achieving both has typically required compromise. The configuration showcased at MACH 2026 was designed to change that.
A UK First: Conical Laser and Scanning Probe Combined
Taking a prominent position on the stand was the 918 Techno System, displayed in a configuration making its UK debut at MACH 2026. For the first time in the UK, the system was shown combining a conical laser and scanning probe in a single inspection solution.
That pairing is significant. The conical laser delivers the throughput required for high-volume production environments, while the scanning probe provides the dimensional precision demanded by complex or tightly toleranced components. Rather than choosing between the two, manufacturers can now access both within a single platform, switching between measurement modes to suit the component and the task.
The response from visitors across the five days was considerable, with engineers and quality professionals from precision engineering, automotive and aerospace sectors engaging directly with the system and its implications for their inspection workflows.

Part of a Broader UK Debut
VICIVISION UK attended MACH 2026 as part of Carfulan Group’s largest ever presence at the show, with all five of the Group’s divisions represented on Stand 20-320. That broader context strengthened the proposition: visitors could see how VICIVISION UK’s turned part inspection capability sits alongside multi-sensor metrology, large-scale measurement, tool management and additive manufacturing within a single, joined-up offering.
For manufacturers who have historically managed these disciplines across multiple suppliers, the alternative is compelling. As Carfulan Group Managing Director Chris Fulton noted during the show: “Clients continually talk about the frustration of going to different suppliers for what they need and the lack of a joined-up approach. We can negate all of this by offering all types of solutions in one place.” The VICI Techno System is a central part of that offering.
